Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev has presented data revealing the critical state of energy infrastructure in the Far East, creating direct systemic problems for the mining and resources sector in the region. The wear and tear of power grids in the Far Eastern Federal District exceeds the average Russian indicator by 1.4 times. Furthermore, a generating capacity deficit of 2.6 GW is forecast for the region by 2030. These structural limitations in energy supply could hinder the development and expansion of mining projects, increasing operational risks and costs for companies operating in this strategically vital region for the resource sector. The statement was made in the Federation Council.
