JIMMS Version 2.0 to Tighten Grip on Illegal Mining

The Jharkhand Department of Mines and Geology has formally approved Version 2.0 of the 'JIMMS' (Jharkhand Integrated Mines and Minerals Management System) scheme to curb illegal mining and transportation. An amount of ₹27.72 crore (approximately $3.63 million) will be spent on this, which will strengthen security and regulation in the mining industry through digitalization and tracking. This step has been taken with the aim of strictly curbing illegal mining activities in the state.
