National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), India's state-owned mining company, reported a 16% year-on-year increase in iron ore production to 5.35 million tonnes in February 2026, compared to 4.62 million tonnes in the same month last year. For the April-February 2026 period, production reached 47.79 million tonnes, an 18% increase year-on-year. Chairman Amitabh Mukherjee attributed the strong performance to the dedication of the mining teams. This indicates robust operational performance and increased output in the mining sector, directly impacting equipment demand and utilization.
