CISF takes major action against illegal coal mining, seizes over 428 metric tonnes of illegal coal

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a major operation on July 9, strengthening the 'Zero Coal Leakage' initiative in the coal fields of Jharkhand and West Bengal. During this operation, over 428 metric tonnes of illegal coal were recovered, 4 FIRs were registered, and equipment and vehicles used in illegal mining were seized. This action is aimed at curbing illegal mining, theft, and transportation, thereby preventing security breaches and revenue loss in the coal sector.
