Union Minister of Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that there is a severe shortage of professionals in the global semiconductor sector, and the Indian IT industry should take advantage of this. The government has provided semiconductor design tools to 315 universities across the country, with plans to develop skilled manpower in the hardware sector and meet global demand.
