Australia and India Boost Nuclear Cooperation

India and Australia have signed a new agreement to enhance nuclear cooperation, paving the way for uranium exports from Australia to India. The ban on uranium exports, which was in place after the civil nuclear cooperation agreement signed in 2014, has now been lifted. Under the new agreement, nuclear fuel will be used only for peaceful purposes, which is expected to boost India's nuclear energy program.
