Russia Bans Diesel Exports to Prevent Shortage

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced a ban on diesel exports from Russia. The measure was taken after a series of Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries and supplements existing restrictions on gasoline and aviation fuel supplies. To cover the deficit, Russia has started importing gasoline from other countries. The ban is aimed at stabilizing the domestic market and preventing a fuel crisis.
