Government Eliminates Customs Duty on Electronic Parts Used in Display Modules and Wireless Charging Systems

The Indian government has completely abolished customs duty on key electronic components used in the manufacturing of display modules and wireless charging systems—such as backlight units, FPCAs, NFC coils, and NdFeB magnets. This exemption will remain effective until March 31, 2029, facilitating long-term planning for companies. The move is expected to reduce costs for hardware manufacturers and boost domestic electronics manufacturing.
