Micron Technology has initiated production at its advanced memory ATMP (Assembly, Test, Marking, and Packaging) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, India. The project represents a total investment of $2.7 billion (approximately ₹249 billion) across two phases. The company aims to scale production to around one billion units by 2027. This development is a major milestone for India's semiconductor hardware manufacturing ecosystem, directly boosting the IT hardware subsector through enhanced local production capacity and significant foreign direct investment.
