At a Meeting with V. Putin, A. Novak Reports on the Introduction of a Ban on Diesel Fuel Exports for All Market Participants

Starting July 9, 2026, Russia has imposed a complete ban on diesel fuel exports for all market participants. The decision was made at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin following a report by Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Novak. The goal is to increase supplies to the domestic market and eliminate the fuel deficit. The ban will affect all exporters and may lead to a reduction in wholesale diesel prices within the country, but will limit oil companies' revenues from export sales.
