46,203.76 Hectares of Forest Land Transferred for Development in Uttarakhand Over 25 Years, Mining Industry Gets Largest 47% Share

Over the past 25 years, 46,203.76 hectares of forest land have been transferred for various development projects in Uttarakhand. According to data obtained by RTI applicant Anoop Nautiyal, the mining industry received the largest share at 47%. This land transfer reflects the expansion of the mining sector in the state.
